What a treat we had at the Apple School! Dr. ALISON MANN, an incredible local pediatrician, stopped by to meet the Apple School kids! Dr. ALISON is a pediatrician to a few of our amazing students and she was very interested in coming to our school to meet everyone, talk about the job of a doctor, and to give the kids a warm and calm feeling for when they have to visit a doctor for a checkup. Dr. Alison talked to the kids about what tools she uses for her job, how she helps kids all over the world feel better, and the importance of being happy and healthy kids. The kids were so eager for her arrival and had plenty of questions ready to ask her. The kids even gave Dr. Alison a checkup of her own using some of her special tools! It was so much fun. Dr. Alison was very impressed with the curiosity and patience of the Apple School kids and she let the kids know how much she appreciated their great behavior during her visit. We hope with her visit, the kids feel calmer and less scared about visiting a doctor for a checkup and we are confident that this helped do that job. We look forward to inviting more of our local community members with interesting jobs to come and meet the Apple School kids as it helps us develop a stronger sense of family, school, and community partnership.
